FAMILY SHOOT

A few months ago the Munn's ventured out to Calgary from PEI! We had a bit of an impromptu photo sesh on a Saturday morning before getting tips on baking bread. Larger groups that have small kids and dogs is not an easy thing, esp indoors without extra lighting! But I gave it a whirl, check it out.

A little hard to get everyone to look at the camera!

But I managed to get all eyes on me for a second...well except the dogs but that would be asking for a miracle

WINDY DAYS

I believe we picked the windiest day ever to go take pictures on the ridge along Panorama, overlooking the golf course. I love the effect of the ones without the crazy hair, it looks like we went out to the desert or the Grande Canyon. Calgary can be deceiving!

This one just kills me, this would be the best Halloween hair ever if you put spray in it!

Having a good laugh over the hair craziness

This one is pretty wild but I love the laughter! And just look at all those goregous hair tones

INTENSE LIGHT

I shot these pictures in RAW and jpeg but as I cannot figure out RAW processing on my computer I tried my best to bring back some of the color to these washed out pictures. The idea was there but as I look more Im not sure Im keen on the edge burns. The end result is also a little bit more fake than I would have liked but live and learn!

URBAN SETTING

All in the same general vacinity here is the more urban grouping of pictures. Who can resist a metal corrugated tunnel?

I like to call this one the supermodel pose!

PRETENDING WE WERE AT THE BEACH

Belive it or not these shots are all just down the road from my house in Calgary. It was another gorgeous sunny day in March but the wind was a little wild. What a dark haired beauty!

VERMILLION LAKES PART TWO

I recently picked up this backdrop from Michaels and was testing it out when Victoria was visiting. The light was not in my favor but the general idea I enjoy. I still think it will work best with newborns but my test subject is still pretty cute :)

Here are a few more shots from Vermilllion Lakes Road. I liked what the sun was doing in these pictures. Its a neat hazy effect. Im hoping the summer (even though it feels like winter right now) will yield lots of sun flares and haze

MY BABY SIS

Victoria came to visit almost a month ago now and we went out to Banff for the day for a semi-unsuccessful hike. We had originally thought to do Sulphur Mountain but it was waay too icy so we hit up Johnston Canyon instead. Good thing there was a railing because we held it the whole time and slid up and down the trail. It was still a gorgeous day out and we went down the Vermilllion Lakes trail to take a few pics with Rundle Mountain in the background. I have many more to edit but here are a few teasers!

STAY TUNED

The past few months have been insane with finishing my yoga certification, Photoshop classes, my sister visiting, getting the flu, crazy work and my Easter trip to BC so I have a bit of a backlog of pictures I need to process so be patient, I will be hopefully getting back to normal blogging shortly now that life has settled down! Stay tuned for pics of my beautiful little sister and other fun things. Now that I am enrolled in my Black & White Film developing class I need to break out my scanner so I can show off what my point and shoot can do!!! Im just proud all my negatives turned out, film is so funny, you completely forget what you took pictures of and its just a fun surprise.
