IT'S CHRISTMAS TIME IN THE CITY

One of the joys of being a stay-at-home Mom is afternoon photo shoots with other Mommy & Baby friends!! We got into the Christmas mood a bit early and decided to do a little shoot at the end of November after discovering Pinterest.com and all its wonderful ideas. As usual we couldn't do all the ideas because babies have a mind of their own so it was all about improvisation but I love them all and I hope you do too.



I cannot believe Christmas is in 9 days... eek feels like I haven't had a real chance to slow down and enjoy it. Check my Facebook page for more pictures from our shoot in a few days. Merry Christmas to one and all!!!

BABY FACES

It's been awhile since I posted so I thought this was a funny sequence to share of Roman crawling underneath the coffee table and all the funny faces he makes! What a character he is turning out to be, I can't believe his first birthday is coming up in a few weeks.

The tongue sticking out means intense concentration!

BABY IN THE SUNSHINE

I was eagerly awaiting the time when Roman would be able to sit on his own for extended periods of time without support i.e. a photo shoot and the time has come. We took advantage of the sunshine on Saturday and went out to the field in hopes of getting some great pictures. I think I got a few keepers but mostly just got eaten alive by all the mosquitoes so our much anticipated photo op was cut short.

What a jolly little boy I have these days, hes learned how to blow raspberries and his belly laughs are amazing to listen to!

Gotta love jean short overalls and tiny baby toes. I dont know what it is about these little digits but I just want to nibble on them all day long!

FIRST BIRTHDAYS

Well its been a full year (and a bit now as this is a bit of a late post) since Chase entered into the world. I cant believe how fast time flies. Now hes toddling around the house and trying to form words.

The little man celebrated his birthday a week and a half ago with Crave cupcakes and from the looks of it he agrees that you just cant go wrong with Crave!

TEXTURES

I was playing around with some textures since I can't seem to get my textures actions to work anymore so this was by hand. I think its an interesting concept but I def. need to work on it. Let me know what you think. Oh and apparently the rounded corners only look good against a white background so I may have to scrap that idea.

ADVENTURES IN BABYSITTING PART DEUX

My second babysitting experience happened last week following my late Christmas present of an SB600 Nikon Flash :) Still experimenting with Photoshop to see what I kind of style I like best. When I see other photographers pictures I am always drawn to the more 70's vintage type style but then I try out my own actions and I am never sure if I like that way or the original better. Regardless here are a few vintage shots of Chase, the middle is my personal fave called "Get Faded"

LAZY DAYS BETWEEN CHRISTMAS AND NEW YEARS

Another wonderful Christmas has passed, we cooked our first Turkey dinner and didn't kill anyone, got to visit with friends and family and then the question always arises, what now? I guess play with your Christmas presents and wait around for New Years.

We spent Christmas dinner at my cousin Steve & Jills house and had the pleasure of seeing Sylvie again. Her curls just melt my heart! Sylvie took a bit of time warming up to us but once she did it was time to play with Steve. Just one more day til we ring out 2009 and ring in 2010. I can't believe it will be a new decade already, it feels like we were just celebrating the year 2000. Off to Fernie tomorrow!! Happy New Year's all

I know its cruel but I couldnt resist buying these tights when I saw them in Land & Sea a few weeks ago. I know Marc may consider tights on a boy a little feminine but look at how precious he is. I wasnt torturing Chase, even though this picture may say otherwise, I just thought this had the most personality. I can't believe it is Christmas in less than two weeks

ADVENTURES IN BABYSITTING

This past weekend was my first solo babysitting since I was prob. in junior high so I was a bit nervous. Thoughts of 'will he like me and will he cry lots?' swirled around in my head but I put on a brave front and the evening went quite well. Chase and I agreed that if I carried him around for 4 solid hours he would behave wonderfully and let me take his picture. On the whole he is a pretty jolly baby

BABY LOVE

Lindsay and Chase came over to play the other night and we turned it into a bit of an impromptu photo session.



Chase has the most beautiful lashes I have ever seen, I hate to say it but he's pretty... AND one of the most precious babies I have ever met!



Chase is an excellent combo of both his Mom and Dad, although I think he got his gorgeous eyes from Lindz
