ANTICIPATION

I don't usually like indoor pictures but the weather hadn't exactly been cooperating in this so called spring so we stayed inside Ryan & Denise's house instead. We took advantage of a big plain wall to get this awesome shots. Aren't they just the cutest parents-to-be?

I just cannot get over how fantastic and tiny Denise has stayed throughout her whole pregnancy, definitely one of those woman other Mom's are completely jealous of!

My favorite shot of the day, such a special moment before their little family of two becomes three (plus their fur baby) .

I lied, this is actually in a tie for my favorite shot. I just love the excitement and joy in Ryan's face.

I brought my assistant (aka Roman) to this shoot and strapped him on in a front carrier. He was quite content to come along for the ride but the stairs shots were tricky as he didn't like the bending over. I think it was worth the fussing though.

Maverick was showing the baby belly some love, I wonder what he will make of the newest addition to the Torris family!

TORRIS BUN IN THE OVEN

Can you believe that Denise is 37 weeks pregnant in these pictures? Wow just a teeny tiny bump on this beautiful yoga instructor.

Ryan & Denise are keeping the gender a surprise but my bet is on girl. Either way I cant wait to meet the little munchkin!

Ryan & Denise are huge flames fans so of course we had to show off the adorable little Flames booties, maybe they will bring luck next season ;)

PILKINGTON FAMILY SHOOT

Well my baby is 6 months old now and time has just flown by in a haze of sleep deprivation and all the ups and downs of parenthood. Its fun to watch Roman grow and develop and interact with us more and more everyday. His smile lights up the room and his pout can break hearts already. We finally got out to take some family photos last week, unfortunately it wasn't as warm out as I had hoped so we cut the shoot short but I loved the results.


My two tough boys! So serious in this shot, he is looking so mature, next thing you know he'll be borrowing the car keys.



In hindsight I should have gotten Steve to take off his sunglasses but we will have many more shoots to come so Ill try to remember next time!

MY BABY BOY

We welcomed Roman Steven Pilkington to our family on September 29th. He was a little over 3 weeks early but I guess he was ready to meet the world. Our little bundle of joy, weighing in at just 6lbs at birth, is such a joy. Its been quite the adventure, taking the good with the bad. He is now more alert and giving actual smiles, which is just precious. I have been enjoying my new macro rings to capture all the little baby parts that just beg for kisses!!!



Posing your own child is harder than I thought, I figured I would be able to practice on Roman lots but between all the other things going on its been pretty busy, hence why I am only just posting pictures now! My curious little boy :)

MEET DENTON

I had the pleasure of taking pictures of Denton when he was just a week old which also happened to be two days before I gave birth a bit earlier than expected! Needless to say it is taking me a bit longer to edit the pictures of this little cutie and his proud parents but I am very happy with the results. This little guy weighed in at 9lbs 11 ounces when he was born and he came with a ton of hair which his parents like to comb into an adorable hawk

I am in love with baby feet, there is just nothing cuter except maybe their little fingers or their soft hair or their little ears... newborns are just special :) Congrats Brittany & Garret
