SO YOUNG. SO PRETTY

While I was home in Nova Scotia I convinced (ok just asked and willingly received a yes) my little sister Victoria to pose for some pictures. We couldn't have asked for a nicer evening and when Dad suggested going down to the boardwalk in Bedford I was sold. We headed out for a bit of a nautical themed portrait session and had lots of fun goofing around. The phrase of the night was "So young, so pretty" so of course there were lots of smiles! I love the blurry sail boats and lighthouses in the background.


The sun was just setting when we were finishing up our pictures and I couldn't resist a good evening haze and lens flare. I love summer evenings and the east coast.. and of course my gorgeous baby sister!



This picture has the feel of being on a resort in the Caribbean or so I think anyways. Love you Vic!

STRIDE BABY BUMP

The Strides (Tina, Chris & Dakota the dog) and I headed out to Nosehill Park on the first evening of summer. It was a gorgeous night but the mosquitoes were fierce and bug spray was no match for the swarms. Despite the bugs Tina and Chris were great sports and I was soo excited about the gorgeous light and setting. What a cute couple they make! I first met Tina when we were both taking the intro to photography course at SAIT almost two years ago now and it seems a lot has changed since then! Tina started up her own business, Stride Photography, and is now having her first baby.


I love this picture duo that shows off Tina's gorgeous blue eyes and also her teeny little baby bump!


This light was just do die for, I am in love with the evening haze.


Tina and Chris will be welcoming their baby girl at the end of July and I cant wait to meet her. Congrats guys and all the best!

SUNNY YOGA DAYS

Shyla and I took to Confederation Park this week to enjoy the sun and take some yoga shots for Shyla's biography. This girl is amazing and inspiring and has some wicked arm balances to top it all off.




Shyla, yoga instructor extraordinaire, currently teaches at Tri-Yoga and the Yoga Studio in Crowfoot. Go check her out, shes amazing!

THEN & NOW

After looking through the pictures from yesterday I thought it would be fun to go back and see the difference between Chase and Alena from this time last year to now. Its crazy to see how fast these little munchkins grow and turn into "real people" and also to be able to document such important milestones in their little lives.

And Mister Chase, birthdays are a serious affair for this little guy!

SECOND BIRTHDAYS

Today was a joint 2nd birthday party between Chase and Alena at Joso's play place in Creekside and there were lots of adorable little people there to celebrate and of course no party is complete without Crave cupcakes either yum yum!


What a great place for kids to play you would think right? Well the birthday boy was a little overwhelmed and spent a good portion of the party hanging out in the room with the food and more importantly Dad's cellphone!

I cannot believe another year has gone by since Chase's first birthday but here it is his second birthday already! He is no longer a baby or a toddler even, he is a full on kid and its crazy to see. Happy Birthday Chase Man.
