BLACK & WHITE GLAM FAM

I love the way the black & white pictures turned out from my photo session with Shawn, Leoma and Oceana. I didn't feel like they belonged in the same post as the fun leaf pictures for some reason, the black & white's have more of a tough glamorous feel whereas I thought the colorful pictures are more cheerful and playful. Which do you prefer?

SHAWN'S LOVELY LADIES

They weren't kidding that life with a baby is hectic. I have been so busy running around planning my babies first birthday, getting his first haircut, taking him to the zoo for the first time, first year photo shoot not to mention starting up a crochet hat business that I have been seriously neglecting this blog.

The first weekend of fall was seriously stunning in Calgary, smoking hot temperatures and gorgeous yellow leaves! What better timing and backdrop for some family pictures of Shawn, Leoma, Oceana and Otis the dog at Confederation Park. Girls that love having their picture taken and also happen to be hilarious are the best combo for family pictures, not to mention sore cheeks from all the laughing.

As it was prime family picture time we had to stalk other photographers to get in line for the best places in the park to pose but it was def. worth the wait and I am so happy with the results. Check it out :)

I love this one, such a cute couple!

The leaves were too gorgeous not to show off but stay tuned for another post from this session in all black & white.

BABY FACES

It's been awhile since I posted so I thought this was a funny sequence to share of Roman crawling underneath the coffee table and all the funny faces he makes! What a character he is turning out to be, I can't believe his first birthday is coming up in a few weeks.

The tongue sticking out means intense concentration!

SO YOUNG. SO PRETTY

While I was home in Nova Scotia I convinced (ok just asked and willingly received a yes) my little sister Victoria to pose for some pictures. We couldn't have asked for a nicer evening and when Dad suggested going down to the boardwalk in Bedford I was sold. We headed out for a bit of a nautical themed portrait session and had lots of fun goofing around. The phrase of the night was "So young, so pretty" so of course there were lots of smiles! I love the blurry sail boats and lighthouses in the background.

The sun was just setting when we were finishing up our pictures and I couldn't resist a good evening haze and lens flare. I love summer evenings and the east coast.. and of course my gorgeous baby sister!

This picture has the feel of being on a resort in the Caribbean or so I think anyways. Love you Vic!
